Pass me that Kale!


This weekend I discovered that Kale is amazing. Not only because of its fantastic nutritional value, but also because of the many different ways you can incorporate it in your diet.
First things first, let’s the Kale is a highly nutritious vegetable with powerful antioxidant properties; and it is considered to be anti-inflammatory. Kale is very high in beta carotene, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, lutein, zeaxanthin and calcium! Kale is also high in sulforaphane, a chemical believed to have potent anti-cancer properties!

How does one eat Kale?
Steamed or sautéed Kale is delicious, you can make it with our favorite type of nuts or spices!
If you want to add a massive amount of Kale to your diet you can try this awesome shake! I tried it for the first time this weekend and I fell in love with it.

Kale Shake
·         1 cup of strawberries
·         1 cup of blueberries
·         2 cups of water
·         1 scoop of your favorite protein or whey powder
·         1 Kale bunch
·         Blend all of the ingredients and add some Stevia to sweeten it up a bit more!
